DVDCommander software application helps you organize and catalog your CD and DVD collection, making it much quicker and easier for you to locate any of your discs, search for a specific file in it, or know who you loaned any of them to, among other features. Thus, thanks to DVDCommander, you can know exactly what discs you have and where they are, all the time.
The program's user interface is very simple and light. It basically consists of a single window with a tabbed structure that provides fast access to all the functionality it offers. On the "Navigator" tab you can find shortcuts to some of the most important assets of this program, such as Scan New Disc, Find File, Find my Disc, Browse Database, and Manage Database. The program is capable of scanning any disc you insert on one of your drives automatically, gathering all information possible pertaining its content and adding it to the database you are currently working on.
Other tabs are "Base", where you can see the complete list of your discs classified under various categories; "Find Files", to quickly locate files on your disc containing a string you provide (you can use wildcards) and - optionally - a minimum and maximum size, and "Lended Discs", where you can see the list of those of your discs that are in other people's hands, so that you do not lose track of any of them anymore. Besides, "Language" and "Skins" tabs allow you to customize the program's appearance, while "Registration" will let you enter the information required to unlock the program, if you happen to buy it. more
